In the late1990s, a few of us decided that it would be nice if the membership had an outlet where they could sell some of the items they had worked so hard to create.
It was a small beginning in 1998, but had possibilities. We moved to an appropriate space: the Victorian-era Dalnavert Museum. Early years there, we were spread out throughout the museum, eventually settling into their new interpretation centre.
As the museum went through further changes, we found a new location to hold our sale, where we currently are located.
All of the items for sale are 'juried' before being allowed for sale. You won't find knitted wash cloths, or toilet roll covers here ... unless they have been elegantly stitched as well!
Criteria for items is that they must be created with a needle and thread, and/or be an item that would have been created in Victorian times. You will find many unique items here.
Now, our Heritage Needle Arts Sale takes place every year at the end of November ... except, of course, for 2020!
2021: we started back with a low-key version
2022: we were excited to hold our sale again, as usual, no restrictions!!
And in 2023, we will be hosting our 24th sale. We hope to see you there!
.... we have a date! November 25, 2023 ... same time, same place!
Covid-19: masks recommended.
